Ronnie Lynn Fowler

Hello All:
My name is Ronnie Lynn Fowler, #24031-077, I reside in Pollock, LA, USP (United States Penitentiary) and I have been incarcerated going on 23 years this August 7, 2015. I was 24 years old when I received a federal sentence of 624 months or 52 years, which was later reduced to 540 months or 45 years. Later in that same year I was sentenced to 45 years in the State of Texas. After doing 18 years and 11 months, I was paroled out of the State of Texas and was picked up the Federal Marshalls to start a fresh 540 months sentence in the feds. This was all for the SAME case. My actual charges are broken down as such: Aggravated Robbery with a deadly weapon which I did the 18 years and 11 months in the State of Texas for and now I’m doing 5 years for the first gun charge, 20 years for the 2nd gun charge and another 20 years for the 3rd gun charge in the feds which total 45 years.
The irony is the fact that I was not credited for any of my previous time of 18 years 11 months even though the same evidence, the same witnesses and the same robberies were used to give me these long term sentences in both jurisdictions (state and federal cases). It’s called Double Jeopardy in any other light of the law. Due to the word “play” in the federal statues they did not and would not credit me back the 18 years and 11 months of the State time I had previously did.
I said all of that to say this; at this point in my life I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, which once I’d given up all hope of being with or seeing my granddaughters. God has opened up doors that have been closed to the cause for so many years. It is through Him that this 924c movement called: MERCY ME 924c, has taken off and we as a whole see some relief and now have hope where there was none. We need your help to advocate for justice for us. To God Be the Glory!!! This is our time; it is Our Season to Stand UP and Break the Chains of Injustice that has held us down. The time has come for us to get out and be the fathers, sons, brothers, and leader that God meant for us to be. We thank you for your support and look forward to coming home soon.
